This 7-year-old ISA Scholarship winner from Ghana, Anthony Rabbi Hemans, is the youngest surfer to be awarded the ISA Scholarship in 2014.

Thanks to the ISA Scholarship Program, Anthony has been able to pay for school fees this year and the next, even moving to a school in a community much closer to his home and buying a bike so he doesn’t have to make the long walk everyday. This along with his first surfboard and rash guard has given Anthony the chance to surf more often. He is no longer getting pushed into waves on a borrowed board, but as he grows older he is now paddling into waves on his own board.

His parents who were not too fond of surfing before, now see the opportunities surfing can create and are proud of Anthony for achieving this accomplishment.
