Originally scheduled to be held in November, the event has been brought forward a month.

Valued Surfing Australia partner Toyota will again hold naming rights to the event, which is expected to attract more than 250 of the country’s top SUP exponents.

“Toyota is thrilled to partner with Surfing Australia and is very excited to take part in this event,” said Toyota’s Divisional Manager for National Marketing Brad Cramb, who was proud to be sponsoring the event for a second year.

The Toyota Australian SUP titles will be held across three disciplines: surfing; technical race; and a 20km marathon. Results will form the basis of Team Australia selection for the ISA World SUP titles in 2016.

The opening ceremo ny will be held on Sunday 11th October with surfing and technical racing in both SUP and prone paddleboarding having a three-day window from Monday 12th to Wednesday 14th. The Marathon discipline will be staged on Thursday 15th.

“It is fantastic to bring the Toyota Australian SUP Titles back to the Gold Coast, which is a global epicentre of SUP participation,” said Surfing Australia CEO Andrew Stark.

“We thank our name rights partner Toyota along with the Gold Coast City Council for securing the event at Currumbin on the Gold Coast. We wish all the competitors the very best for their quest to become a prestigious Australian champion and earn their place to represent Australia at the World Titles.”

The 2015 Toyota Australian SUP Titles is proudly supported by Toyota, Gold Coast City Council, Connecting Southern Gold Coast, Currumbin RSL, Nikon, Surfing Australia, Surfing Queensland and AuSUP.
