Trinidad and Tobago is ready to make their debut at the Masters
22 March 2008 - For the first time in history, Trinidad and Tobago will be competing in the one and only world tournament for surfers over 35, the annual ISA World Masters Surfing Championship that will be held in the perfect, traditional waves of Punta Rocas, Peru from March 29 until April 5.
The Southern Caribbean country will be competing with six competitors. The team members are:

“This is our debut at this event and we are very excited. Even though the water is a lot colder than we are accustomed to, Peru has many world class waves,” said Team Manager Warren Rostant. He also highlighted, “Che Lovelace and Alan Davis are our standout surfers, but all our team members should do well once the waves don't get to big. Unfortunately Trinidad and Tobago does not receive large swells often and our team does not have much big wave experience. We look forward to visiting Peru and getting a chance to try out our wetsuits.”

About International Surfing Association
The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the World Governing Authority for surfing, bodyboarding and surfriding. 22 Marzo 2008 - Por primera vez en la historia, Trinidad y Tobago estará compitiendo en el único evento mundial para surfistas mayores de 35 años, el anual ISA World Masters Surfing Championship que será realizado en las tradicionales y perfectas olas de Punta Rocas, Perú, desde el 29 de marzo hasta el 5 de abril.
El país sur caribeño estará pariticipando con seis competidores. Los miembros del equipo son:

“Éste es nuestro debut en el evento y por lo tanto estamos muy contentos. Aunque sabemos que el agua es mucho más fría de la que estamos acostumbrados, Peru tiene olas de calidad internacional”, dijo el Team Manager Warren Rostant. Destacando también que “Che Lovelace y Alan Davis son nuestros destaques, pero todo el equipo hará las cosas bien mientras que las olas no se pongan muy grandes. Desafortunadamente Trinidad y Tobago no recibe olas grandes muy seguido y nuestro equipo no tiene mucha experiencia en dicho terreno. Estamos expectantes de nuestra visita a Perú de tener la oportunidad de probar nuestros wetsuits”.

Sobre la International Surfing Association
